About Timeline StoryBooks

Timeline StoryBooks began with an afternoon I'll never forget.

My grandmother was living in a nursing home, and her short-term memory had faded. She sometimes couldn't remember who had visited her the day before, and conversation wasn't always easy.

I'd made a scrapbook filled with photographs and reminders of earlier decades—the news, music, television shows, movies and everyday life she had known. As we looked through it together, I played familiar music and we began talking about those years.

Something wonderful happened.

Grandma began telling me stories about her life. What things were like when she was young, the people she knew, and the world she grew up in. I learned things about her I'd never known.

It was one of the most meaningful conversations we ever had.

That afternoon inspired the idea behind Timeline StoryBooks: combining family photographs with the familiar history of each decade, creating a book that helps bring those years back to life and gives families something wonderful to explore together.

Built on Experience

In 2001, I created a line of personalized gift books, including When We Were Married, When We First Met and When You Were Born. Over the following 15 years, more than 75,000 were given for birthdays, anniversaries and family celebrations.

Today, I'm building on that experience with Timeline StoryBooks—a new way to bring family photographs and the history of each decade together.

More Than Memories.
A Connection Across Generations.

What makes a Timeline StoryBook special is that everyone in the family can experience it differently.

For parents and grandparents, familiar music, headlines, movies and everyday details can bring back memories and stories beyond the photographs.

For children and grandchildren, it's a chance to discover their family as they once were—to see Grandma or Grandpa at their age, learn what life was like then, and better understand where they come from and their own place in the family story.

And when everyone opens the book together, those photographs and familiar details can spark conversations, bring generations closer and create new memories worth keeping.

Professionally Printed and Delivered

We work with professional print partners in Canada and the United States. Your StoryBook is printed and shipped within the country where it will be delivered, helping it reach you sooner without cross-border customs delays or import duties.

My Hope for Every Book

My hope is that your StoryBook becomes something your family opens again and again—not just to look at photographs, but to revisit familiar years, discover stories and enjoy those memories together.

If it helps a grandparent share a story, a child discover something about their family, or generations feel a little closer, it has done what I created it to do.

Because the most meaningful part of remembering is sharing those memories with someone you love.
